Is that a teleprompter down the front? If so I need one of those 'cos my biggest stage paranoia is forgetting my lyrics. The band tries to help and offer soothing words of encouragement to take the pressure off but in the end it comes down to, "You wrote 'em. You remember them". Yes it is. He's only been listening to and playing Neil Young songs for 40 years so doesn't remember them I, however, know them all, pretty much

You can remember the lyrics at home. You can remember them driving to the gig but then you start to think, "What if I don't remember them?" and it's downhill from there. Come the time you're on stage and you're having to remember a particular cue or guitar lick and to kick on a pedal and off another one and suddenly your head has skipped a verse. Even worse is just after you've remembered the bit that you were worried you were going to forget...but you nailed it. So you relax and then foul up the bit straight after that you have never EVER fouled up before. Sometimes I can really understand why computers crash.

Two left handed guitar players.. I haven't seen that since UB40 Great to see you gigging with the HB guitars. Looks like a lot of fun. I'm jealous!

papache: yeah to play in a "real" band is the best bit, we don't actually play together often, once a year when we're lucky! dodger: it sure was an appreciative crowd, they were all dancing and singing along, we've played there a few years already and they really love it when we start playing (when I hear some of the other band I can understand somewhat - but hey we're all doing our best!). Unfortunately not really acoustic songs so didn't get to bring the CLD-41SE. DefJef: that is very true. I probably wouldn't remember it either if I was nervous and all that, but c'mon he has to have the lyrics for "Down by the River"! salteedog: yeah that is very unique! The funny thing was another guy in a different band also played left handed and had a LH Custom BB like my boyfriend. With our talks of bigsbys; notice the guy playing upfront has a right handed bigsby on a lefthanded guitar LOL.

Trouble with remembering lyrics is, the more I rely on reading them the less I can tear myself away from them. I just need a brain training guru. I do have one song that I imagine walking through my house and that seems to help me to remember the order of the lyrics. Trouble is, on stage I start to forget what my house is like!

I had to look up SRV style, but yeah I know what you mean now Yeah that's the bad thing about it, you just keep starring at them even if you don't need it. That's why I remember all these difficult NY chords in my head. It's pretty difficult because sometimes the order is A>D and then it's D>A.

You should try playing our Bentonites 'Dead Birds' song. G/Gbm/Em/Gb/G/Gb/G/Gb/Em/Gbm/G/Gbm. "Look, is it Gb or Gbm? Make up your flippin' mind." Who plays a Gb anyway, I much prefer F#

Eb and Bb are the only ones I refer to as flats - A# and D# just don't look right
