Very nice ! It looks like a cross between a PRS Santana and a Joe Perry Boneyard. Nearest thing I've seen wildturkey is the Hamer. Gotta admit papache, if they do this with P90'S in I'll grab another one.

I wouldn't know bone from plastic DerAlex. It's a chunky block though. Don't know if anyone can tell from the picture.

Hi john! Glad to hear that your guitar is flawless. I took a look at the picture of the guitar on Thomann website and it seems to me that the flame top joint is a bit off-set from center too. Anyway I think it's not as visible as an askew pickguard! From your pictures the color seems to be a bit more yellow-ish than amber, a guy reported that fact on Thomann too. Still it's a very lovely guitar, I love the color and look of the satin finish nickel hardware. Really different from what we are familiar. How are the electronics? Can you compare the Roswell humbuckers with the Wilkinson humbuckers? And how do they sound when coil-splitted? I wasn't interested by this guitar, but with your pictures and review I'm finally considering this as a future alternative to a Les Paul-ish guitar (SC-450 Plus and SC-550). Cheers!

Hi beyonder77, the colour in my photos is pretty accurate to how she looks. A lot lighter than the site pictures but I really like it. On Pickup info I can't really help, I've only got Wilkinson single coils so can't compare. It's not got coil tap either.

On Pickup info I can't really help, I've only got Wilkinson single coils so can't compare. It's not got coil tap either. No coil tap? But actually it is said on Thomann french web page: Which means: "1 tone pot with Push/Pull for Coil Split". But you're right, the other language web pages do not mention a coil tap, so there must be an error with the french description of the guitar (or maybe it's a retired feature from the pre-production model). But it won't bother me as for single coil work, I can count on Teles or Strats. I'll update my review of the ST-59HM, but actually I don't feel the need to update the Roswell PU or electronics. Even if they're not CTS, the pots are really smooth and effective all the way, and works as well as the CTS pots I recently put on a second-hand korean PRS (the stock pots were cheap chinese pots with tons of sputterings and sometimes no sound at all). I'm curious to know if it's the same for you or if I was just lucky with the electronics. I don't know what the nut of your XT-22 is made of, but it looks like the nut of my PRS. If someone else has experience with Wilkinson or other humbuckers and can compare them to Roswell humbuckers, I'll take it!

To be honest beyonder77 I was pretty sure it originally said coil tap. And between you and me, don't tell anyone, I was that sure I pulled the knob off when it first came.

It did and so did the SC-Custom FR VB, I was tossing up between the two, because the specs were similar. Both were listed as having coil taps. Just the usual Thomann mystery specs, same deal with my SC450+ but I got lucky with that one

Happens pretty often that thunderbird, I've got singles to some degree in all my guitars so I don't really need it. Makes you wonder though if Thomann send a spec to the factory then it's a case of "Oops, about the coil tap you mentioned......."

Getting factories build you cheap guitars and expect no issues is naive Of course it will happen but do note all the positive reviews of HB and then put in the context of QC and to mention the fantastic customer service Thomann (still) has for returns etc ... I'm a happy bunny ... sure I've got a few rotten tomatoes in the past and I'm not happy about it but each time I decide because of it to buy another brand I get reminded by the prices that I simply can't afford anything that cost more than HB. And knowing that they are of a quality they are , well

I think pretty much the same papache, in some ways I wish I'd kept the TE-90 FLT & stuck a £30 neck on it but then I'd never have got the XT-22. One day my friend.

The missing coil tap is unlikely to be a factory problem. More probable that the guys who put the specs online were given outdated or incorrect info. Basically the fault here is in Germany and not China.
