Good tip, I'll give it another go tonight It's gitarre@thomann.de - do it in English and you'll probably get a reply fairly quickly. Thanx. Finally got round to send them an email. Now we'll await their reply.

Well, time for an update...
Received an answer from the guitar department. Just as I thought after your messages on the forum here, they all have these cosmetic/build flaws. That's too bad.
They didn't offer a partially refund, but returning it and buying another case in a higher price range would be an option they say.
I'll reply that I'll make due. It's not something a can't live with, so I'll take it for granted. Don't want to go to the hassle of sending it back, then buying a twice as expensive case. Then my case would be just as expensive as my HB TE-52.

I think the guitar department was always helpful when I had questions and they seem to actually know what they talk about. I could also live with that and will once I buy that same case ... one day ... (first need a swap speaker in Bugera, and a HB American Sound pedal, Studio Monitors, ... )

It's a shame that they would let something that is so easy to avoid spoil the reputation of a product.
I mean, ok, they probably sell a lot of them, but it means those buyers, even though they may choose to accept it, will not buy another.
Make sure you leave feedback on the product and note the flaws for others to see. I am not saying you should give it a bad review, just a sincere one (like here) that mentions this issue.
Maybe if they get enough comments posted, they will actually do something about it.

Just received my new guitar cases. I ordered the vintage leather look gator case for my yet to arrive Revelation thincaster, and the Thomann tweed case for my HB TE-52. The gator case looks awesome. Nothing wrong with it. But the tweed case has some minor cosmetic issues... There are nails placed after applying the tweed on the bottom side and 2 nail holes next to the handle. I know there are some guys that have the same case. Is this done to all of them, or did I have bad luck with mine? I don't really want to go thru the haggle of sending it back, and I'm perfectly able to live with it... So I was thinking of contacting thomann to see if I can get a discount on it... After all, It's still €59 that I paid for it. I actually have the same marks on my tweed case, though perhaps not as prominent. It doesn't bother me and I still like it, but to each their own.

So, a year later I drove to MusicStore to check out several things, including the tweed case: They only had three cases in the store but none of them had any marks as those shown in the pictures. So maybe it was just a faulty batch for HB.
