Dangerous territory for them...as it's in reaching distance of Ibanez, Kramer, Jackson, Cort etc.

You know what? I trust their pricing. They managed to release SC Custom FR for 300 euro when it has bridge that costs roughly 150 euro. And if this new model is made in Vietnam, chances are that it more than surpases other guitars at that price range. Finally a worthy competition for CST-24T

True - it should always be cheaper to buy a 'pre-upgraded' guitar from Thomann than upgrading a cheaper model yourself (since they are buying the parts in volume at cost and should be applying only a small margin to them).
A €300 Ibanez may have €200 in parts and €100 in margin based on brand name. Whereas a €300 HB will be have €250 in parts and only €50 margin.
So a HB represents better value. (Unless you are thinking of selling it at a future point....as it may not hold it's value as well).

I only have the CH35 and don't play it that much but reckon the acoustics are priced about right and compete with more well known brands twice the price. It's just that it's not an established name in the market. I'm not sure what the individual components of an acoustic guitar cost but €300 for an "intermediate" acoustic guitar is about right. I've had loads of compliments about how my CLD41SE looks and sounds from other players who can't believe it was €300. Sigma and Epiphone and other players have similarly priced guitars and in my opinion they aren't as good.
I play this and my CLA28VE every day and gig a couple of times a week with either and they both sound much better than my bandmates's Fender acoustic which cost the same.

True salteedog - a HB won't hold its value which is good news for us if we are scouting around gumtree!

I checked the link yesterday for the HB fusion hsh eb pro and there were no product photographs just a big question mark where they would normally rest. Maybe it was just me but were the photos visible to anyone else?
The spec on the guitar was interesting. Ebony fingerboard for example. I habitually pay close attention to budget priced Asian guitars listed with ebony fingerboards (not specifically on Thomann) and where there are hi-res detailed photographs available I zoom in closely. I will get to the point. I have never seen one yet that looks like real Ebony. They appear to me like nondescript wood that has been dyed black. It could be that sellers are using "Ebony" as an adjective relating to the color rather than a noun as in the wood species. It could also be that I am completely wrong.
I tried opening the link just now and it did not work. They sold out fast!

They didn't sell out as they were not available in the first place, hence no photos.
CST-24T Black Flame is "available" for purchasing, but no photos for a week either.

This is all rather confusing. Yesterday they were available. It said so. There was even a 'click to buy' button. Why would Thomann list something as available then take it down a day or so later presumably because it is like you say and suddenly not available? A method to stir up some interest perhaps?

If I remember right, it was listed as "on request" (i.e. www.thomann.de/intl/lt/harley_benton_rg_mini_bk.htm). It allows you to add item to the cart, but it means that Thomann currently does not have the guitar at their warehouse, so they have to get it and only then they can ship it to you. I imagine they were expecting to add this model but some issues came up and they aren't going to get them any time soon. At least that's what I think

"they have no date of availability nor can they confirm that it will actually be made" This is the actual answer i got, its not my version of the answer. A while back there was also a big tone without trem available on request, it mysteriously disappeared also and till today did not come back. Found the price of 299,00 cheapish for a guitar whit an ebony fretboard, not that the thin sliver of ebony makes it that more expensive. But everting else with an ebony fretboard is in the 600-700 price range. With that price it looked more like clickbait to me to be honest.

I dont know about that. Herr in Germany i regularly See HBs selling for good money. Cst24t for 160€, te-52 for 110€ etc. they hold value better than a 6000€ gibson custom shop les Paul!! True salteedog - a HB won't hold its value which is good news for us if we are scouting around gumtree!

Well HBs price range is really low, you cannot sell something with low value for half the price or you'd be losing money... Also the people would normally find a 100/200€ guitar as a real bargain, but only a few can really afford a overpriced Gibson.
