I see cats as animal Buddhas. Humans not being able to be with themselves in piece is in my view humanities greatest weakness and will lead us towards self distruction through all form of "creative" expression. Constant need to do something just to avoid facing oneself. I have huge admiration for cats. Just my view of course

FWIW I always read how ugly that headstock is. I don't think it is. I believe 95% of such comments come from people who actually mean "it's not a Fender".

I was surprised on how much I rely on having a thumb rest with the humbucker covers. With this little single coil of the PB-50 my thumb had no place to go (it felt like this to me at least). This was the main reason to send it back. You can get a set of two thumb rests from Ebay for 1.70€ from China. They'll be in your letterbox within two weeks. It's a 109€ bass for gawds sake. Just drill two small holes and screw the thumb rest on...if you like the bass otherwise. Well, I already forgot a thing that annoys me like heck but is not a real "problem": Due to the basswood body and the Preci like neck (which I liked very much) that PB-50 is really neck heavy. At least the one I received. And this is something I don´t like as I will be mainly sitting while playing .

I dislike both neck and bottom heavy guitars but Im keeping my Shorty P bass even if neck heavy as I prefer playing it standing so neck is not diving that much and the bass feels so great and is such a joy to play. Also the tone is very good for such chepo pups! BTW, Long Live the STRATOCASTER the most balanced guitar in da warld mAn

All my basses are neck heavy, even the Ibanez SR370. I suppose it has to do with the length of the neck. Maybe there are some balanced basses, maybe those are short scale headless things…
The worst is the Jazz Bass because of the offset body which forces me to sit on the edge of something or I cannot tilt it otherwise. That said, I got used to hold the body of those basses down by resting the forearm on it. It works fine for finger picking.

Time for a 5-string Finally I get the reason to fill in the void GAS for a 5-string ... I was curious about tapewound strings after watching Scott compare them. I wanted to try some out so when I found a barely used set cheap on ebay, I snatched it. The only problem was… it was a 5-string set. It got me thinking so hard I "found" a 5-string bass the next day. I am not inventing this. Tapewound strings last forever. Now I have a spare set of 5 roundwound strings without a bass… It bugs me a little but unless I find a bass for sale without strings, it seems unsolvable

I have now two (L-2000 Tribute and SB-2 Tribute). Even though the L-2000 has a really thick neck it is not neck heavy at all. Both are around 4kg so not heavy as well. The PB-50 was neck diving all the time which is annoying IMHO.
