Will play the JS-1250 until this weekend and then swap back to stock Bugera speaker to see if i can hear any difference. Will it be "ah, this Bugera speaker is just great" or "ah yes this JS-1250 is just awesome and the stock speaker is just too weak"!
Then I will decide if the Eminence is staying or going back to Thomann!

Just swapped the speakers again after playing the JS-1250 since Monday! Placed the Bugera stock speakerback into the amp and was expecting a huge smile on my face which never came to fruition hm, ... Bug speaker sounds flat in comparison to the Eminence JS-1250. There is more details in the JS-1250 but it sounds still so very "hard" and Im hoping to get a more mellow sound out of it! The highs can be piercing on the b and G strings which is not the case on the Bug speaker. Not sure what to do? It could be that the Emi speaker will soften with time ... or not at all! ... Will play this Bug speaker for a day or two and play the JS-1250 again and that will decide if Im keeping it or sending it back to Thomann and buying me something else instead.

Roll off your guitar vol knob. Takes off those highs. My volume knob takes out highs but also makes things muddy. I use no treble bleed. And my Tone knob is at 2 to 4 never over that. Played the Bug speaker for a while again and realised that I've enjoyed playing my guitar which was a fiddling game with the JS-1250 (always fiddling with the EQ knobs rather than playing). Bug speaker rings out the harmonies on the 12th fret and the Emi speaker dulls them out. There is this nice sizzly drive on neck pup when playing Bug speaker and the neck pup sounds muddy and lifeles when on Emi speaker. ... Maybe this JS 1250 will be a good speaker one day when it gets softer (if that ever happens) but Im not willing to go through that process. Might be good for other amps like that Morgan Josh Smith is playing For Bugera it is too sharp on high strings and too muddy on lower strings. Over all there is no dynamics in my pickups which ARE THERE on the Bug speaker. Would be nice to get more punch from the Bug speaker but hey, you can't have it all think this speaker is going back to Thomann next week! (look for a B-stock)

Played the Bug speaker since yesterday and my smile is back on me face. It does have lots of sizzle and has more Lows than the Josh Smith speaker. Makes sense as those Morgan amps are bass heavy. This sig speaker was tailored for his Morgan JS12 amp for sure. So all amps with lots of Low end will benefit from this one but not bright amps like Bugera V55.
Just swapped the speakers again and its obvious that low end is lesser in this Emi speaker. Also the high end is harsher. It also seems more "agressive" thatks to that "alnico-like speaker break up". I prefer softness so this one certainly not for me.
Can't make my Mooer Delay, CKK Lunar Drive or CKK Tremolo sound good with it. This speaker is going back to Thomann and I will need to ponder more about what I need. This gave me more insight into speakers; I need speakers with less than 100dB so they can be played on lower volumes and still have nice dynamics. I also need a speaker with MORE low end and less sparkle and also to have lots of heardroom so my Delays etc work better with it. No speaker break up for me. Lesson learned!
But it does have more clarity which is what Im after as the stock Bug speaker is a bit undefined when I crank it. Maybe I should go for a Jensen speaker as they should have more Lows and Higs ... maybe get a 2nd hand one ...

If you want more low end and less sparkle close the back off the amp with some plywood and screws The amp is placed 10 cm from the wall and this does not increase much low end. This amp is bright and lacks low end to start with. Many have observed this. I do note increase in low end when I play neck+bridge in Series on my tele. So there can be more low end I just need to find a way to get it out. Sure I could just buy that Sub'n'Up and use the two sub octaves just to round that low end. I might even be happy with that Octave tone as my basic tone as that TC pedal lets you blend in as much Dry signal as you desire. Thomann has sent me thee free return label and this JS-1250 will be returned tomorrow. I have gained more experience with speakers. Thanks to it I now know a bit more what I like or dislike in a speaker. Certainly staying aaway from speakers designed to give some natural speaker breakup. So not suitable for those using delays and other modulation. Makes it too confusing and less detailed. Its a learning curve.

Maybe what I need is this Bugera 112TS cab with the Blue Turbosound I can run both the Bug stock speaker and this one in parallel! Im sure this Turbosound has more Lows especially as if its in a closed back cab! These two speakers would give me a killer tone for sure! And I can mic both cabs and then separatelly mix them for recording! And live it would be the best ever combo I can imagine. The price is good and it looks the part!
