Also...you'll probably know this already but volume and master on the kat are quite different... The usual advice is to max the master and adjust the vol. to taste. Or try the opposite way for slightly different dynamics.

DefJef I think you mentioned to us recently after your jam session out on your porch that Katana sounded really sweet! Could it be that this amp is meant for band situations rather than playing on your own? If so then use it for the band and Fender for 1 man show/or recording. I would find it hard to go back to modeling/solid state amps after my all tube Bugera experience. Now that I know how to dial in the amp's sweet spot (the wah sound) it has been such lovely experience playing it. All I need now is an extra Cab with a speaker that's more tight in the lows and rounder in the Distorted realms (still eyeing the CV-75). This way I will have a rich pallet of tonal goodness.

Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

It did sound good but only to me. It was facing up and projecting at me sitting down. My keyboard mate to my left was finding it too quiet.

Yup. I'm always playing seated in the same place so wouldn't really notice the directional thing. I'll move the amp to the center of the room and have a careful listen later.
