Necks can warp if they are inadequately "seasoned". I've had a few low priced guitars that were beautiful looking and sounding guitars until the necks twisted from changes in humidity. Other than that, electronics are usually the weak spot. I can't imagine touring without spares for backup though. At any rate, you should know if a guitar is going to give you problems with a few months or less. Some woods would just rather be a chair.... Yes, electronics are usually the first replaced on the budget guitars. Pots, switch, and wires tend to be very cheap stuff. Pickups are often so-so at best. BUT these can always be salvaged and re-used damage occurs to the wood. If I were a touring musician, I think my main instrument would be my Burny LPC ($500 pre-owned) and upgraded MIM Fender Stratocaster. Even those are pricier than I'd want to bring on the road with me.

I gigged my CST-24T today for the second time in 8 days, still in stock condition, and it sounds great! I bought it so I don’t always have to take my Epi LP Classic. First because the Epi is much more expensive, and second because the Epi is heavy as hell. Before my HB, I used an Epi LP special II AFD as my cheap and light gigging axe, it is in the same price range as the HB. But I had the pups and tuners changed on that one before I thought it sounded and played acceptable. It is now my cheap backup for my cheap and light gigging HB. My LP classic is heavily modded (Jimmy Page wiring, Iron Gear pups) and is a fantastic instrument, but the HB comes close to it and is much more comfortable when I am on stage for a longer time. Also it’s much easier to reach the higher frets due to the double cutaway, compared to the single cutaway on a LP.
Long story short: I can’t see why you cannot gig with a Harley Benton.

I'm looking forward to a great stock instrument. All my Squiers are modded. My Epi LP Ultra has the newer ProBuckers. Burny is stock. Fender MIM is modded and I may re-mod it again. I just want a good playing guitar that comes stock.
