The sc-450 copies the Les Paul and so its issues. The Les Paul headstock is known to be crap (https://www.guitarplayer.com/gear/heres-three-reasons-why-your-les-paul-wont-stay-in-tune ).To much angle for the headstock itself and same for the strings that has to turn to go from the nut to the tuners. Gibson never change it because of...tradition. Thousands of bucks for a crapy headstock...? Yes but you can look like Jimmy page. CST is optimised. No belly cut too for LPs. It seems the sound has nothing to do with the shape, so as Darrell Braun said, chose the lighter one. I never plaid a Les Paul copy but I bought a CST-24. But buying a guitar is not only a question of being rational. I perfectly understand why we can enjoy playing a LP, but I'm a mechanical engineer, my bad

The only thing I like in Les Pauls is their look and it is limited to some angles. I have one SC-450 Plus and reason tells me, of all my guitars it is the one I ought to sell. It's got a fat edgy ar…e. I already sold an SC-Custom because of its pick-ups but all the other reasons played in the decision too, except that one had a rib cut.
I'll give that to the PRS and clones: at least they have a fat round ar…e. Still not good looking.

I agree the LPs are not the most ergonomic but their shape makes them feel like they are much shorter scale than they are. I like playing them for that reason.

Sure, look is definitely kind of personal vib...not to be argued It can be discussed but not argued, that's right. I have tried to argue with myself about it, tried to accept things that didn't call to me for other, more practical reasons. It doesn't work. Never. I end up feeling happy to get rid of them at the first occasion. I must have function AND look, be it guitars, furniture or clothes. A tool in a box in some side room doesn't matter, I don't live with it but if I have to see something every day or show myself with it, the look becomes of first importance.

That's another thing I dislike about them. Everything's a little further to the right, the neck is a little more in the middle and it feels uncomfortable. I don't like holding them. Maybe they feel better standing.
