Has anyone run across this effect before? I noticed in Guitar Rig 5 and thought I'd check it out, as far as I can tell it makes whatever you play sound like incidental music from a horror film. Interesting but I can't really see any other possibilities for it.

I have used this effect in Ableton before, to add a delay that changes pitch on the delay. In other words, play a note set a grain delay that repeats it at a different pitch (up or down) or even multiple repeats at different pitches.
I haven't really used it a lot but it did give me some interesting results when I did.

That is something I usually do when testing effects in a DAW, keep turning things to extremes and wondering what the hell??
