This thing flattens the output of a guitar then transforms it to match the typical sound of various pick-up types (single coil, P90, humbucker…). It works surprisingly well, doing on castrated dull 50s humbuckers what I thought would not be possible and also claims to improve dynamics. At some 200€+ VAT, it is not cheap.

Sounds very good. Wonder what it could do with bas, the price is a bit to steep to try it out.

An interesting question. I suppose it would do the same. This appears to be working on the high end of the spectrum. Maybe some of the bass focused channels could do something. Another reviewer brought up the idea of "fixing" pick-ups with this, by which he meant improving their sound characteristics, rather than switching type, which I guess is also a better solution than replacing them.

Sounds like a good idea and judging by the video it works as well.
I don't think I'll be buying one at 200€ but it would be handy for those of us that just have one (crappy) guitar for recording purposes.
