It's an interesting looking drive based more on the lows and lower mids, same area as a fuzz works best for me. I'll check it out, cheers. There's certainly enough fizzy top on the Bug's gain channel and I wouldn't want to add any more. Sorry my bad, I should have mentioned that; I suggest this or any other OD pedal for the CLEAN channel ONLY. I find the drive channels too chunky on Bug V series amps.

Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

I find the Bugera's drive channel too fizzy. Because the EQ section is shared, I can't seem to find a happy compromise between the clean and the drive channels to use the footswitch to switch between one and the other, using the amp as an effect. I'd need to place some kind of EQ pedal in the drive's chain and that would mean stamping on two pedals to do a quick switch. I hate that.
And, of course, I already have the Champ for a wonderful clean which I can stick an OD pedal in front of.
Early days yet though. I've had the Champ for a few years and am only just discovering new things it can do. I'm sure I'll find some interesting setups eventually on the Bugera. I just need it's two channels to be equally useful. One and a quarter channels is not good enough. My Champ has that but I'd rather not use it's gain channel, it's not subtle enough. At the moment I seem to be setting the Bugera with the Gain channel only slightly crunchier than the clean. So similar in fact that, without the footswitch light telling me, I'm not always certain which channel I'm on. Wish it had an amp light that told me in the same way as the Champ does. Mind you, you'd never mistake THAT amp's two channels!
Ideally, for me, an amp would have a clean channel that will begin to break up and then a drive channel that will go from edge of breakup to full OD. Neither the Champ nor the Bug can seem to do this at living room levels anyway. The clean channels resist breaking up with the Master at anything approaching home levels. I can see I will be having to chain some pedals and do a good bit of tap dancing eventually.
