I'm really disappointed, I bought some harley benton guitars by reading reviews that were good as good products better than others at least double the cost. Well, I'm unlucky or not at all like that! The main thing is that despite being copies they are different from the originals making it difficult to replace faulty pieces for the beginner. Moreover, what sense would it have to buy an economic product and then rely on the luthier's care? The sc450 + purchased used is perhaps the worst, too bad because then, but always in proportion to the price the sound is no so bad. But assembly is dramatic bridge holes, nuts, tuners and finally extetic are to forget, i have some epiphone les paul and believe that are definetly better instrument. Than "Jack" quality control Man will be alway drunk. Sorry for the compliants. N. B. this guitar is untouched by previous owner and I don't know why He did not send it back to Thomann, which apparently today instead of controlling its products only increases price. Cratch is under the lacca finish !!

This bridge looks very strange. It appears to be further from the pick-up than it should and the intonation makes no sense, unless the plain strings are very light or very high, then the wound strings very thick or very low. Here's a picture of mine with a set of 10-46 and fairly low action (below 1.25 mm):

Were you aware of the defects when you bought this used guitar?
How is the intonation?

I played one lads American made Strat and it was nothing special in comparison to my ST-62MN with Ironstone pickups. And I mean nothing special; piece of wood with strings attached to it.
Is QC better on American Fenders? yes very likely but that is also reflected in the price tag! Is QC non existent in HB? Yes for sure, I have returned numerous faulty HBs since 2014, but those I've kept ARE keepers and such same guitar from Fender would cost a fortune I don't have.
Best is if you are in EU as return in easy. From USmaybe less so. With such great US 2nd hand market I would never go for HB but say, G&L instead as they are cheap 2nd hand for some reason. I'm talking about Tribute series here.

I'm trying to understand how you came by this guitar. Did you buy it second hand, or is it not yours but still belongs to someone else? Do you know if it was a B stock item or even a 'decoration only' one? I only ask because there are plenty of those around. On a slightly different topic, I really dislike those pre-notched saddles. They seem to be a recipe for buzz, pings, and tuning problems after bends as they have slots that I've always found too wide so the string can move sideways in them. Hi, guitar was buy as no bstock from Thomann full ptice in the invoice on han 2018, and have Alsi sticker passed "Jack" control. The one who sold it to me said it was perfect without problems and sent me some photos from which I could not see all the aesthetic defects, you have to put it against the light or direct exposure of the sun, and already these on the back of the body would be enough and Thomann would not have to sell it at full price, but then looking at the saddles, or how the tune matic and the stop bar was mounted and even the nut that falls as soon as the strings are raised, indicates an instrument for my point of defective sight and that is not worth the 159 + 20 euros shipping of the invoice. I repeat I do not understand how those who bought it in this state, perhaps because the beginner did not send it back, there is obviously still 1 + 1 years warranty, but I do not think that Thomann takes care of the problems being the second owner .

ttmax Do you know why your seller did not return it to Thomann? I can understand your disappointment but you appear to be more angry with Thomann than the sperson who sold it to you. If these defects were not disclosed prior to the sale and were not clear in the photographs provided then I think that you should have contacted your seller immediately to hopefully reach a amicable solution. Did you contact the seller to discuss these problems?

Warranty should apply regardless of the owner. If something falls off or cracks, that's a warranty case. Faults that were there during the return time ought to be another matter, though.

Did you contact the seller to discuss these problems? Than you for reply, i don't know why him do not return this guitar, while ny disappointnent is for this guitar (no sold almost as bstock) but also for my others h.b. that i have buy as new. For example both my st-20 have tuner problems, replaced, t-20 have body deformation returnered (and thomann reply It is not possible to guarantee that another does not have the same defect), st-62 chords corroded, te-52 tuners defect one brocken, etc. etc. In a nutshell never had a guitar I do not say perfect, but that does not require substitutions and adjustments except for the cst-24 and I do not speak of a single sc-500 bought as bstock that had repairs to the paint with a brush, obviously sent back , will I be unlucky? I have other guitars, fender and epiphone will not be the best in all, but apart from the perfect aesthetic, some are even 20 years yet still seem to have left the store yesterday, obvious fender cost much more than one hb, but the epiphone no is and some i purchase used at same price of a hb sc-450+ ir same euro plus.
