Sorry to mention it again but I'll do so in case the point was overlooked. The ST20 has small fretwire. It has the same as the TE20 and it quite noticibly smaller (lower and narrower) than the medium jumbo wire that is on all my other HBs.
As such , for me, it feels quite different to play. It may not make any difference to you and indeed small frets maybe your preference but I think its a more significant feature than the pickups.
That said my ST20 is a nice guitar and had no important flaws. Its a few years old though and a lefty so may not be representative of the current stock.

and the 62 has larger fretwire? Let's do this ST-62 frets: 2.6 mm wide, ~1,5 mm high. ST-62DLX: 2.6 mm wide, ~1,2 mm high. Measuring height is a bit fiddly, I have to loosen strings then measure the neck thickness with and without fret at roughly the same point in the middle of the neck and do it several times to get some sort of accuracy. Then I can go retune two floating bridges

So the s20 is smaller than that I guess? I don't even know what that means though 😁😁😁 I don't know what size any of my guitar frets are. Never really paid attention

That's your chance to find out Seriously, should you consider ordering more, either for you or sharing an order with friends, the service people at Thomann would certainly tell you how much you can stuff into one parcel without increasing shipping. They get to sell more and make no money on shipping itself. The ST-57 is a David Gilmour Black Strat' copy, the one that just sold for millions. Thomann makes economies of scale so you pay more for buying something from a limited run, not for better hardware or features. It's all about the look. The ST-70 has a Wilkinson vibrato with a thicker block and funny fingerboards, amaranth or ovangkol, depending on the model.

I never really take any notice of these things. I have no idea, from memory, which of my guitars has bigger frets than others and I've never even thought of considering it when buying one or borrowing one to play. Maybe, subconsciously it is a factor that makes me like or dislike a guitar. I must take note next time. I tend not to build preferences, although I never played the old, small frets. I usually adapt to a guitar, to its neck profile, string spacing and even its shape rather than building an ever growing list of limiting demands that would leave me unsatisfied with about anything. Two issues I have had so far that I am not comfortable with: 9s on jumbo frets, because they bend sharp easily, and the clumsy Les Paul shape. I suppose a scalloped neck could be a bit of a problem too.

thanks....62 sounds good, not much negatives. even the 20 video sounded good, but i have tin ears. if i get the 20 hss i have a probucker and an alnico classic pro laying around and a few push pull 500k pots. i’ll most likely block the trem so thats not a concern. seems like the 62 gets super reviews and the 20 gets “not bad for 70 euro” reviews though.
