I'm looking for a used ST-62, because I'd like to try to modify it according to my tastes. I got mine for 67€ plus shipping. It was in perfect shape. The only thing people need warning about is the neck, which is thicker than most will be used to (23mm at 1st fret, 24.5mm at 12th). I wonder if the "sustain" block has been made larger on the recent models. It happened on the DLX: Very good price. In Italy there's a popular online market, "mercatino musicale", where you can find thousands of used guitars for sale.
The good thing is that it is relatively easy to find instruments for sale in or near your city, so you can see and try them before buying it.
In my area I missed out on an almost new ST-62 olimpic white for 80 euros this winter, because I contacted the seller too late. Sooner or later I still believe I can find a similar one.

Really good price for this guitar, congrats.
Just for info if anyone wonders, my mods are not really a finanacial secret.
GUITAR: 119€ PICKUPS: 101,19€ ELECTRICS AND ALL SMALL PARTS: 90,82 SEVERAL HOURS OF LABOUR: free, well my time TOTAL: 311,02€
All in all, I am REALLY REALLY satisfied with the guitar that came out, and I m quiet sure that it would be extremly difficult to buy any guitar for 300€ that sounds and plays like this, regarding the looks, well it is a stunner for me, but the taste in colors is subjective.
My SC-450 plus is now feeling a bit loneley, but it is a great differnt sounding and playing guitar, so I know it is just temporary, but I am leaning towords modding her as well.
