We tried foam and took off the cover but the problem still existed.Pup is toast from the factory. It is a $137 that plays great.....add a $102 Tone Zone and at under $240 with an amazing Gibson killer I can not complain. You can send Thomann a clear description of what you tried and ask them for either further steps to take to identify the issue or a replacement pick-up. Debugging this with you will cost them more so they should offer you a new pick-up or a partial refund. If you already wish to install a pick-up of your choice in there, the partial refund will lower its price and is a fair outcome since you bought something faulty. Yeah I know I should complain about how faulty the pup is but I already ordered a nice Tone Zone in aged nickel and I hate dealing with customer service of any kind.......makes my blood pressure go sky high.I am just glad the rest of the guitar is pristine. My buddy recently got his HB bass and the neck was so warped it was unplayable.I feel lucky both of my SC-500's are so beautiful and play amazing. The Tele is freakin outstanding too.

I played a trick on some cheap seller. Ordered a 9 guitar stand that was described as having the size of a 7 guitar stand. When it came with the size of a 9, as I hoped it would, I contacted the seller about the discrepancy and "gracefully accepted" a refund of about a third of the price. I have 10 guitars on it now

To me it's gone beyond warp and is in the realm of twisted. 🙄

Impressive.
It fits with the yet to be verified but keeping to get likelier assumption that these fat necks in the low price segment are riskier wood.
In this case, the problem was clear and immediate so it led to an easy resolution.
Close inspection reveals that the necks of my pricier CST-24HB and SC-7 are three parallel pieces while those of my SC-450PLus, ST-62's and R-458 are just one plus scarf joint for the head when appropriate. I cannot tell for the old B-400FL but suspect one piece plus scarf joint as well. None of the above have moved in any suspicious way so maybe I am too wary of this.

Thomann sent me a much better quality toggle switch and I bought a Dimarzio Tone Zone and my buddy installed both today. This axe is now a Gibson killer! With a total of $239 invested($137 for gtr+$102 for pup)this thing kills.Stays in tune like a champ too.
