So i am looking to get a Tele! Which one of this guitars are better for that bright twangy sound? (I prefer the look of the TE-70). I have 2 HB guitars the DC Custom and the JA-60 (Wilkinson pups versions). Both are nice to play but they are kind of muffled and lack brightness VS my more expensive guitars, so I am a bit weary of getting another "rosewood" type of deal with a bassbody. But maybe the new roswell pups have fixed this. Any help?

I got a Te 70 paisley which was very good and a te 52 which i had to send back. I would take the Te 70 with maple neck. Te 52 feels very cheap i think although i know there Are many fans out there. Te RW i have got no experience

I have a TE70BP looks, sounds and plays like a tele. I like it, can't compare it to other teles as it's the only one I have 😀
Cant really say anything negative about it. It looks good most people who see it are taken with the paisley finish. It sounds good too which is more important.

Both have the same pick-ups at the same place. They'll sound the same.

I have mine string through DefJef, I really never thought of using the top loader option. I'll give it a try next time I change strings. I changed them around a month ago and spent well over an hour trying to get the D&G intonated and couldn't get it even close. I put it down came back next morning and bingo about a minute and perfect. I'm beginning to think about changing the Saddles/bridge not because of intonation but buzz! I suspect it is the saddle springs I've eliminated everything else. I know it's trivial and you don't hear it when it's through the amp but it annoys me.

Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

It's what I have found after endless buzz chasing blindwilly3fingers. I suppose it could be the pickup plate or suspension springs too. They do all love to rattle and I've never had worse feedback on stage than through a tele bridge. I'm slowly eliminating it all. Silicon sealant under the bridge plate, rubber tubing instead of springs, even rubber tubing rings under the heads of the pickup height screws. It really is annoying when you can hear and feel these things. I'm not even sure that the round barrel saddles help. So much of this goes away with six block saddles. I've not even had to remove the springs on those. My Jazz bass has been so much more enjoyable without its saddle spring on the A.

My new fretless was buzzing and clacking after I made the neck dead straight and took the action all the way down. Truss rods work immediately but there is a settling time and it's not the first time I end up correcting an overshoot on the next day. I had to raise strings by half a turn too. It wasn't the spring.
Modern hardware doesn't rattle. Vintage lovers get what they pay for.

I have no tuning or intonation problems with it. I have to say the compensated saddles supprised me how good they work. The buzz is a recent thing that I thought would be an easy fix when restringing and set up tweak. I've even lubed the springs but to no effect, tightened every screw! I have thought of silicone tubing instead of springs but have so far kept hoping I would cure it some other way. I think you are probably right DefJef and a 6 block saddle bridge is the answer.

I can only chime in on the TE-70 BP. It's got the twang, the finish is top and it plays well. 'nuff said.
