Have you tried pushing the poles to a more sensible setting LeoThunder ? Yes, they can't be. They have different lengths and all rest on the same bottom level. Darrell's trick cannot be done on these. Roswell delivered "vintage pick-ups" but Harley Benton failed to provide the vintage fingerboard radius to go with them. That's why I think the design work is sloppy. At least it often was. I don't think it's an issue in this case, though.

Would it matter if the bottom level of the short ones were pushed higher? Or are you wanting to push the others all down?

I just wanted to push the high ones down. The other way could work, the magnets would come closer to the strings, though, while the coil would stay further away. Not the same configuration. And of course, pushing the short ones up could be difficult.

Yeah I can see they would end up a little proud. My Pacifica has quite proud slugs with quite sharp edges too. I'm always catching my thumb on the edge of them. I need to file them slightly really then figure out how to remove the filings...
