Hi I recently bought a Fusion-II HSH Roasted, It sound good and plays very well, except for one thing. Sometimes the high e-string slips over the edge when I'm vibrating with my finger. I have several other guitars and I've never had this problem. It seems that the string is a little too close to the edge. On the picture I've compared the neck and nut with an Ibanez guitar I have. Is it a common problem with the Fusion or have I just been unlucky? I would like to get the fusion with the Floyd Rose next time, but not if it has the same problem. Is the problem the nut or could the neck be adjusted? Or do I just have to fret and play more precise and 'clean'?

Could be a bit of both? The top E does look a tad close to the edge and the nut does look a little off centre?
If it's a bolt on neck you should be able to do slight adjustments. I would check the nut first, position and spacings of slots.
There has also been some discussion that fret ends on some models have too much of an angle?

Yes I think the fret end also are too rounded. I don't know if it is easy to remove/change the nut or if I could even get another one. And I think it is hard to adjust the neck because there is wood tight fitted on either side of the neck Anyway I CAN play it, it's just not ideal.

The nut can be changed fairly easily if you know what your doing. If you have no experience of this probably best to see a guitar tech/luthier. Good luck 😀

If it's the nut problem, you are lucky. The nut is easily fixable or even exchanged. But if the bridge is installed incorrect, out off centre . I have seen guitars with wrongly installed neck, just lift couple of mm's out of centre, but the bridge was on the right place, could you imagine it? The same picture at first sight, the high E was too close to the edge. It happened with Chinese counterfeit Martin D-45 (Chartin). Check and measure your guitar carefully or take it to luthier. Keep on rockin'!

I recently had this happen with a different guitar. I assumed it was the bridge. But the manufacturer recommended I loosen the strings and slightly unscrew the neck bolts, then basically pull the neck out away from the body. That fixed it for me, so it might be worth a try here.
