I got mine cheap from ebay. It sells for 9 guitars but I have 10 on it: It doesn't need to move or resist anything particular. Only the padding around the front rail got a little torn by some of the strap holders of my heaviest basses but this is of no apparent consequence.

I’ll have to check EBay out when I have a chance. That one won’t ship to the UK.

There's the one for 7 guitars on ebay UK: link. Yes, it's the picture for 9. Don't ask me what you'd get…

I have the artist 5 guitar rack MartinB it's good has a clip and spring latch so you can fold it flat if you ever need to. Solid build good padding and the bottom support can be fitted in two positions.

I've finally ordered the guitar rack, just having them all around the flat propped up against stuff is a bit too risky I think, and if the GS has the same propensity as a Gibson for headstock breakage I need to sort some proper storage for it!

I went with the Artist 5 guitar rack, it's gone up in price a little but it seems a good item.

That's the one I have, I don't think you will be disappointed. The bottom rail can be set in 1 of 2 positions, I have mine on the widest position because I have an acoustic on it. In this position electrics still fit perfectly OK, you will have to see what you think is best for you.

It arrived today, managed to put it together. I can't decide if I should keep the GS and my LTD in their cases or put them on the rack. If I put them on the rack they'll be more accessible so I'm more likely to play them, but they could pick up some damage. The GS has 2 dings that I was already aware of, they're barely noticeable imo but they gave me some money off because of them.

I've had mine best part of 2 years and not damaged a guitar (fingers crossed I haven't just jinxed myself).
If your sensible taking them off and putting them on the rack you should have no probs. The foam padding is quite good my guitars stay where I put them, don't move or slip. It's not the widest rack but there is enough room without having the guitars too close.

I have a 5 rack too MartinB . Had mine 2½ years. A little different in design, but similar characteristics to the Artist one. As blindwilly3fingers said, take a little care putting guitars in the occupied rack and removing them, and no damage. When the rack is empty or has just a couple of guitars sitting in it, no risk of impacting another guitar and doing damage. It'll fit 5 electrics with ease. Acoustics, depends upon the body size. Similarly an electric & acoustic mix. I seldom put my guitars in a case unless I'm transiting. They currently live either on wall hangers, floor stands, or that rack. Certainly robust enough to support the weight and balance of 5. I think I have 3 in mine at the moment. They're super handy for guitar guests.
