Good morning Brother, traveling as light as possible, we're not getting any younger, are we?! That is only an optical illusion, that scratchplate is the original black one. No beans to spill, sorry!

Obviously we all have different tastes in sound, so I am not saying you will like it derek, but I was (still am) very surprised at how much I love the sounds the Fender Rumble 210 gives me. It is not the most modern of tones (you can get some pretty modern stuff out if you play around with it) but I just love how full it sounds (and how light it is after my previous set up!!).

My rigs at the the moment are quite basic but they cover the bases. A 1977 Marshall 2099 100watt head through a converted Marshall 2097 PA Cab and I've just acquired a Laney RB-9 Head with matching RB-410 Cab. I find I can get all the sounds I need between these 2. Marshall 2099 Head Marshall 2097 Converted PA Cab Laney RB-9 & RB410 Cab

Marshall 2099 Head I spent all the summer of 1977 or 78 (lost in times fog) landscaping Colchester barracks as a student job to buy one of these. Maybe by some strange coincidence....

It’s an old topic but i am new here. At home i use my headphone and i have a little combo Warwick BC40. In the rehearselroom i use the Kustom de300 hd with the kustom 410 cabinet. The head is heavy but the sound is amazing.
In my pedalboard i use Carl Martin bassdrive, a harley benton tuner and from sony a wireless system for the bassguitar.
I also own a Bugera bpv5500 head. A clone of Ampeg svt3pro. This is my backup head.
You don’t have to spent much money to have a nice setup for youre bassgear.
