Well I know where Serbia is without living in Europe or anywhere near it rolle2010 . I'd find it strange in the age of Google Earth and Maps that anyone wouldn't even if they lacked a basic geographical education -except perhaps Americans according to the many You Tube interview reveals. I have cousins in Hungary, Austria, Germany and Switzerland, and I even know where they are on a map too. One of my parents and grandparents even hail from one of those. As to what brands are available there, we do now. Thank you. I was trying to help you, although JAC seems to have taken it upon himself to assume -wrongly, any discussion other than pointless platitude or hollow flattery is intended as an "attack". Not so. Don't chastise me when undeserved JAC or I'll be gone leaving you to your echo chamber and won't care either way any more than you will I expect if that's your interpretation of moderation. I never said, implied or intimated rolle2010 HAD to reveal where he was, merely that it would help us to assist him, and that reasoning was reiterated very clearly in the final sentence of my previous post. @rolle2101 Harley Benton is fine. Don't overthink it. Press go and get started. You'll learn as you go & mistakes will be corrected. Above all, buy what you can afford. Cya.

Actually it is true that in Serbia, Albania, Montenegro etc. there are serious problem with getting stuff delivered through the internet. So I get your concerns. I think that for Serbia you'll have to pay 40 euros shipping for any product from Thomann.
May I ask you what is actually your budget? And if this is your first guitar ever? I may have some input for you.

I don't have an exact budget, but I was hoping to find something up to 200e. It all depends on the model I would be chasing.

So what's wrong with the ST62? If I were you I would rather upgrade the guitar you have with better electronics, tuners, a new nut. Makes sense?

Nothing is wrong with ST62, I like it, but as I already stated few time in thread my idea is to buy 1 St and 1 SC model, to have them both and play them both until I find out which suits me better and get some experience with both.

I understand your logic - different body shapes, different scale lengths and different pickup types, all of which will have a bearing on feel, sound and playability. Do you play sitting down, standing or both? Finding a body shape that fits with your preferred style has to be high on the list of things to consider. However nice a guitar sounds, if it is uncomfortable to play in any respect, it will eventually put you off picking it up. If you are lucky, you may find the one style of guitar suits you best. You can then try different string gauges and even change the pickups to get it to how you want it. If you are unlucky, you may end up with an ever growing collection of guitars, all of which meet slightly different needs...... I think that may be a very familiar situation to many forum members!

First off, I didn't chastise anyone, I merely pointed out that there are various ways of getting a point across that make the same point but can be interpreted in different ways. Agressiveness does not make anything more "right". Second, I don't know if you notice but I am not exactly a heavy moderator of this forum. In fact, I hardly have time to be on this forum due to many other ongoing things. The little time I have I like to spend trying to administrate the forum rather than moderate it. I like to think that people can be capable of having social interactions without needing to be told what to do. On the same subject, as I don't have much time to moderate, I base the main part of my moderation on reported posts, meaning that your post was actually brought to my attention and it is not the first. Finally, threats are of absolutely no use. If you are not happy on the forum, then that is your decision. If you are happy then I'm afraid you will have to put up with both the good and the bad, which includes me. That is the end of this discussion in this thread and if you would like to continue it, please do so via PM.

rolle2010 - While I was reading your posts I immediately thought you are from Serbia, because I am too , and I had similar problems getting right guitar. Luckily, I have several friends playing guitars and I decided to go for Harley Benton (almost exclusive for now). I got a Fusion III HSS DB guitar and I am blown away by its quality and playability. And I decided to get SC / LP style and had completely same concerns. One of my friends plays SC 550 II (Deluxe, Indonesian made) and the other plays SC 450 Plus with Roswell splitable humbackers and both guitars are really great sounding. SC 550 is bit lighter and is setup perfectly which pushed me to get SC 550 II myself. And I got it (from KP), did initial truss rod adjustments, lowered action a bit, but I get a feeling I will have to do some additional setting up as I am getting fret buzz occasionally, while action is not too low. So my SC 550 is maybe not as good as my friends one. Still, if finances allow - go for it as I think overall it gives better feeling in hands than SC 450 plus. On the other side - SC 450 plus is very good guitar and I think it gives more (at least for music styles you like, and me too ) than other in SC line. You can check SC Custom II as well, it should be more comfortable to play but maybe with more neck dive.
