The woods aren't a CITES issue, Basswood, maple and Roseacer, I have no problem with the pickups, pretty much what I'd expect from a £80 guitar (rough price when I got mine) Ah I thought you linked the red 'competition' one, the only one that's remotely similar to the 69 CAR Mustang. I don't see why you'd think them having some other Mustang-likes would mean they wouldn't do a specific Mustang for a specific market that isn't looking for a 'generic' Mustang though.

I was surprised they have a Mustang style guitar at all. I think doing one specific guitar for a niche market isn’t really the HB market, surely they need to offer lowest common denominator guitars to get enough sales to get a decent profit.
But then they do have some surprising models so I suppose you never know.
I wouldn’t expect a Mustang trem on anything though, don’t think there is anyone generic ones.

I would love to see Harley Benton do an affordable style Jupiter Thunderbird like Bo Diddley:
Or a 'Bo Diddley square guitar"
I would also like a version of the Vox 'Brian Jones Teardrop' guitar that others have asked for, or the 'Fuzztones' vox guitar

A Keith, whether it be a tele or something else, but specifically designed for five strings

I never knew why Keith got rid of the bottom string. It can just be tuned to D as well and give extra bottom end if you want it. Otherwise ignore it and play Can't You Hear Me Knocking for hours. I know I do. Maybe, being a bit woozy, it helps to get it out of the way. I read somewhere years ago he removed the bottom string because it resonated and affected the sound he was looking for, and to prevent it being struck accidentally? I know you can play stones songs in standard tuning but they never sound quite right. I just like the idea of having a guitar for the stones type of sound.

I took the top string off my TE-20 for a long time with open G tuning. Never sounds right (as in properly Stonesy) with the top string left on.

I would like to see them more SG style guitars,a less traditional DC-Custom would be great! Since i am a modest and not very demanding man, i'd be happy if they would return to making a Black DC-Custom!! ☺️
