Getting the frets reworked and a bone nut installed right now. PU's are now here as well as the copper shielding. Still no clue, how to get rid of the headstock decal, did anyone of you tried to sand it off?

I prefer to leave the Harley Benton logo as do many here but I think someone here did it ... kodiakblair on his PB-50 bass maybe ?

Yeah, i'm still not sure, since it would take a lot of work redoing the whole headstock for a Logo. But it would be nice to know if anyone did it before and how? Still not sure about where to get the matching clearcoat, since you get mostly acrylic clearcoat here instead of Polycoat.

@chedapapa
I left the remains of the logo (after the reshape) on 2 of my PB-50s. With another neck, somebody had painted the headstock blue !!! That got sanded off pronto. On the last build I was tinting the neck so out came the sandpaper.

So it takes some sanding work to get the decal off? I'm not sure, did you get a matching tint/clearcoat for the neck/headstock?

I gave the whole neck a rub then used Kiwi light tan to darken it. The neck had a satin finish to start with so a light coat of Kiwi gave the same result.

So, Neck and Wiring is done. However i get the ticking of my cellphone as interference when playing on an amp, is this just normal for singlecoils or did i **** up with the shielding / wiring?

Mobile phones get through anything when they do their location update, that machine gun like sequence occurring every 30 mn when not moving. Leave it next to your running amp with the guitar unplugged and you will probably hear it.
It likely goes through the pick-ups too and no shielding can avoid it. After all, they must be able to pick up something, so there must be an opening.
Don't sleep with the things next to your head, by the way. That signal they generate every 30 mn to tell the network where they are is the strongest thing they emit.

I tried it. Having my phone register to the network when laying on top of my fender Mustang makes more noise than when holding it right before the single coils of a Strat' with its volume full open.

Ah okay, just thought i'd soldered myself an antenna into the guitar with all that shielding/grounding. I'm super happy about the finished guitar now, sounds amazing and the new bridge and saddle do their job. Got a few minor things to do now and then she's ready, apart from the headstock.
BTW: Did anyone install the Kluson Vintage bridge with the included screws? found them to be way too long and took the old ones, although the heads are slightly smaller.

I've installed Wilkinson WTB bridge, but eventaly, I've used stock screws. The Wilkinson screws were very low quality, fragile and I've damaged all heads on the screws. I was barely able to get them out, almost damaged the guitar. I've used stock screws finaly. My advice, if the stock screws fit into the holes with the new bridge, just use those. Holes are made for them to fit in the best.

I have one. Very fond of it - although I have upgraded pickups and bridge saddles in mine. I've no idea how it compares to the Bullet though. If you can try out the Bullet in a store and you find one that you like then I'd opt for that over the HB given it's a bit of a lottery buying sight unseen.

That's what I was sort of thinking of. How about the higher line HB Teles. Any recommendations on the TE-52 or TE-70?

I also have the TE-52. It's a very nice guitar. Main thing to note about it is that it's heavy. Also it has a very thick neck. If you like that then it's a great value guitar. Sounds just like a Tele should sound - lot's of twang.
