Nice. What are you doing for reverb?

Nothing at the moment. I used the built-in reverb on my Fender Mustang before I got rid of it, so now I'm on the lookout for a (cheap) reverb. I really want the Behringer RV600 but it seems to be out of stock almost everywhere.

Oh, I did stumble on those before, but I'm always careful ordering stuff over 22 euro from China since those import duties can add up. I ordered my Hotone Mojo Diamond from China and luckily the people who sent the package filled in "17 USD" as value on the package. Currently I'm mainly waiting 'till a cool reverb shows up on my local second hand website.

Yes, most Aliexpress sellers use the trick with 17 USD on the package invoice but on my latest order the NUX MG-200 the seller forgot to put it on the package and Danish customs opened the box to check whats in it and started to ask me too many questions so I ended up paying extra. Im like you eyeing my local 2nd hand web site too, but it seems here in Denmark prices of second hand pedals and guitars are very much high but amps can be quiet cheap.

I think my prayers have been heard, because a Behringer RV600 popped up for 25 euro and the guy lives 15 minutes from my house. I know Behringer has a bad rep, but I've heard great things about the RV600 and it sounds good in demoes. In any case, 25 euro even beats Chinese stuff. Now hopefully I can snatch it before anyone else gets it... UPDATE: Darnit, it's gone already.

I took delivery of the Harley Benton Mini-looper yesterday:- www.thomann.de/intl/harley_benton_mini_looper.htmThis is my first proper looper so I'm a bit of a novice with them. The thing does seem to work as expected when placed at the start of the signal chain although I encountered problems when set up between my American Sound pedal and my amp. In the latter configuration, I consistently encountered harsh break-up/crackling on the 4th or 5th overdub. Presumably this is because the signal from the pedal was coming through at too high a level - maybe line level as opposed to instrument level and somehow there isn't enough headroom after a few overdubs? Is this a fault or expected behavior? Should these pedals always be the first pedal in the chain?

Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

Looper would usually come at the end of the chain of sounds that you want to loop (so may or may not come before a delay for instance) but the American Sound is a bit of a conundrum. If you consider, for a moment, the American Sound as your amp's surrogate tone and gain stage then the looper coming after it is a bit odd unless you're viewing it as a kind of virtual FX send and return loop. If you a are using the American Sound less as an amp sim and more as an overdrive pedal then you may want to downplay the knob that changes the amp sims a bit and maybe even move the AS pedal further upstream a bit. What is your full chain?

Full chain as tried last night is
Guitar>American Sound>Looper>Amp(line level input)
You are correct though that the American Sound is effectively a pre-amp - with output ranging from instrument level to line leval. Most pedals output at instrument level I think and I guess that what the looper is expecting. I think I had the volume set pretty high too.
I'm going to try it again tonight with other pedals (Digitech Screming Blues or Zoom Multieffects) in front of it as well as seeing if it behaves with the AS set to a low volume.

If it's still persists I'll try some overdubs on mine and see if it has the same problem. I must say I only use mine to lay down a simple chord progression to noodle some scales over.

Tried it again with AS pedal volume set low. No clipping noise now. So all is good. Going to try to download the saved wav file to see how that works.

Have someone had problems with the looper? I plugged it in but couldn't get it working. The LED was lit all the time regardless of how I pressed the button. Long press didn't make any difference either. Feels like it is broken. Or am I missing something?

Oh yes. And the Harley Benton does indeed have a last undo function.
