I've ordered a few things from them as well, quick delivery as mentioned. Also, I ordered a case, turned out it didn't fit for the guitar so sent it back. No questions asked and return was for free, got my money back quickly.
I ordered the Epiphone LP Jr over there, there was some damage on the headstock for which they gave me a 20 euros refund.

What case did you order ? I ordered a jumbo case from them. The Bigtone fits just into it. Not a lot of slack in the length and fits in the width (body).

Lm2 That looks like it has a nice fat neck? Is it or is the photo deceptive?

Lm2 That looks like it has a nice fat neck? Is it or is the photo deceptive? I didn't have no probs playing. It's a soft V shape neck. This type of neck is propably choosen as this a Vintage model (See headstock)

I ordered a Gretsch case for my Gretsch G5022CWFE-12, according to their website "all" Ranger guitars would suit, but apparently a 12 string isn't part of that all. I then ordered it via Bax Thomann suggested the Western guitar case for the Bigtone, first they suggested the jumbo but I told them it was too big, they came back to me that the western should fit (Thomann brand).

Lm2: Did you have a chance to compare this model to the TE-52? I am really blown away by the "twanginess" of the TE-52. How much twang does the J&D have? I am really intrigued because the Thinline seems to be quite light (which I would prefer). Maybe I need to visit MusicStore but would like to have some feedback if the hassle would be worth it.

hello! thanks for this post i'm very interested in this model... i had for a few days an harley benton TE30, wich i think is a pretty decent guitar that sound reaaly ok, but didnt really fulfilled my expectations, the freatboard had a little damage on it so i sended it back. do you think that this j&d telecaster is an considerable upgrade from the te30? i have a harley benton p90 goldtop and i think you can really notice the difference between a 90€ and an 130€ guitar.. on the other half, i have read tha te-52 is very very heavy, so i'm really interested in this guitar i also have an j&d jazzmaster with p90 that i bought 5 years ago and is one of my favorites guitars, very nice finished. thanks

Cannot compare with the te52. The J&D has less twang because it's a semi-hollow. It's sounds different. Beside that the J&D looks plastic-like and the colour is not BB. The model is lighter than eg TE30. The fretboard is glossy on the J&D, not on the te30. DerAlex, you best go to the store to test it. I prefer the te30 to the J&D now. Olegario, As I said, the J&D is different than the TE series.

This is a newcomer in my arsenal, so I will just write briefly - first impressions.
Build construction is very good, it feels stronger and better made than the usual made-in-far-east instruments. There are however some minor issues, like F hole on the inside is not very clean, F hole edges have imperfect finish and neck pocket is not a very tight fit around the neck.
Neck lacquer feels gloss to me, so it is a little on the sticky side. Neck feels good, nut is cut a hairline wider in comparison with my HB Paisley T: strings run closer to the edge of the neck. Mine has a yellower, mustard like color - looks a little more yellow than in the post above. Neck is similar too the above post, it is darker than what is shown on the MusicStore website, but it has some liveliness to it: it has some figuring, which makes it a little interesting. Instrument in general has a more furniture-like feeling due to figuring, gloss and color than other instruments, but this feels nicely unusual (exotic?) to me. Frets are nicely polished, sit well and I found no sharp fret ends.
Construction quality in general feels better than my HB Paisley T.
I found potentiometers having better wiring, they have proper action all along their travel and they feel nice to use and very effective. Jack socket however seems to be having some contact issues so that might need to be adjusted or re-soldered - would not gig it in this state, but for home use this is still ok to me. To give opinions on pickups I need to live a little more with this instrument. At the first glance they are very dark for single coils, which make the instrument sound much bigger than it is. Almost LP like / humbucker-ish qualities. Not very twangy. Cleans and overdrives are okay and big, distortion goes to mud-land so no distortion on these pups.
Guitar was playable out of the box, but need to adjust neck, since action is high at the 12th fret. Intonation is okay-ish but will need some fine tuning.
My goal with this buy is to set up a T for jazz, and I assume the dark pickups will be suitable for that. Still waiting for my new tools to arrive, then I will go and set it up with flatwounds. Until then I keep the factory D'addario 9's and will play it regularly to get a feeling of this curious axe.
Recommended buy if you want to try something outside of HB land.

Nice review fokspavv. I had the J&D ST in surf green and it was comparable with the HB ST-62. So much so that it was pointless keeping both. The 62 won and the J&D went. Very close call though and like you say don't write them off as a contender for HB.

Nice... Just ordered a thinline tele myself, a left handed Revelation... Takes about two weeks to arrive. Is a little more expensive then a HB, but according to the local shop, the Alan Entwistle pickups are of better quality then most in the same price range.

I made a review video for this guitar packed with photos and sounds I could happily live with that. Nice flutey sounds around 2:50. All in all a pretty good deal there. What sort of price are they?
