So, to start this section off, how about some bass porn of non Harley Benton basses that you own? I will start... This is my much loved ESP Ltd B-205SM:

There is a market for lefties. I forgot to post one of my biggest basses. (doh) My trusty old Eko BA4 The headstock broke off twice (thanks to my cats on both occasions)... fixed it twice.

Lovely basses there blablas, like yourself it might take a while to work through mines. I'll start with this Westone Concord, this is how it came to me and how it looks now. Attachments:

I'm guessing that used to belong to the bassist of a Jazz trio, or maybe an orchestra pit?

As this ain't a competition, and blablas would win hands down if it was I'll offer up this for your perusal It's a short Samick neck on a Westone Thunder body. Simply moved the bridge to get the intonation right,it hadn't been set when the photo was taken, that's why the saddles are set in the middle. Got light gauge strings on this and it plays surprisingly well. Think it cost me £50 all in. Well worth it. Still have one more Westone to come, will save that for another time

That body has a sort of "Alembic vibe" to it.

It's a damn shame Westone folded. Though they started making copies of US basses they quickly developed their own style quite distinct from the Washburns and other brands they were building. The Thunder III is an absolutely gorgeous bass and would be a great bass to get for your " Birth Year Bass " JAC Or possibly the Short scale Thunder II. I'll post a photo when I find one

Do they come up for sale often in the UK? I have never seen one, but that Thunder III looks interesting. Is this the Thunder II you are referring to? If so, I think it is more of a candidate than the III, it certainly has an 80s vibe to it. This in the colour you posted...
