That's a great option. I've seen pickguards with the right shape but they require routing for the pickguards and switch too. Using the old pickguard as template and drilling new holes should be easy. You'll just need a drill bit and a countersink. I guess that the majority already have those.

I've gone on fleabay and have gotten stick-on pickguard sheets.They're not big,they are for acoustics,but I've used them on my HB Tele type.Stick it on the stock pickguard and trim it.Comes off if you don't like it.

Not anyone's still interested but there's a drum wrap company called walopus that make a version of their drum wrap for a guitar pickguard wrap,thicker and more durable than stickersI've been looking to order one.tons of choices
