salteedog mentioned that Trio sounds a bit gimmicky (or was it another word) Here you can hear how it sounds when you go with the drum'n'bass into the mixer and guitar into an amp. You can separate drum and bass from the guitar signal and you can shape the bass and drums some more using EQ if you so desire. I think this is a fabulous tool! Please see this vid!

Maybe some bass sounds strange but the R&B bass sounds awesome to my ear! I think the Jazz option gives more of a fretless bass tone (not sure though)

... and to add ... many complain about the bass overplaying in this old version of Trio but I love that very overplayed aspect of it! Yes, at last a bassist thats not asleep

Looking forward to hearing how it works out. Honestly I'd love one of these too - particularly if it was a bit cheaper (and at €100 it's not a bad price at all). My concern though is that they are too 'programmed' as regards accompaniment and curtail creativity rather than assist it. But as a practice/noodling tool they look like fun.

I think the bass sounds really good in R&B and Jazz genres. The other genres eh ... so ... so
Hear for your self! NOTE! these lads went with the drum'n'bass straight into the computer (probably via audio interface)

And this is my first take on Trio only one song part until I get bolder (still dont know what Bridge means ... I think Im better at verse and chorus) Here I used ONY Trio for both guitar (effects and cab sim) and Drum and Bass direct into audio interface and into Reaper. No extra EQ on Bass nor Drums, only EQ on my guitar (more Treble and Mids and less Lows). All 3 instruments got Stereo Enhance in Reaper. All 3 got a bit compression in Reaper (maybe didnt need really) This is BTW a new Bentonite collab idea https%3A//soundcloud.com/papa-dusko/the-sun-will-rise-again-idea-for-collab

Im sure there are many goodies in this Trio box it just needs time to figure it out to get best out of it. So far I like it. I have to figure out how best to record it. I would like to record Bass on its own , drums on their own and guitar on its own so to EQ them a bit more for the final mix. At the moment Im like a little child overwhelmed by the new cool toy ... will have to wait for this stage to pass to be able to properly approach this tool.

One thing to report; Trio doesnt come with a cable for mini USB port! You need this for Firmware updates! I complained about this and also about Trio not having a User Manual! I use the online user manual and my Canon camera had such mini USB cable which works well with the Trio.

Ah Che! And you such a big environmentalist. User manuals are generally a waste of paper given they need to cover multiple languages. If the manual is localised just for a single language then that adds significantly more € to the cost.

Nowadays I prefer digital manuals, normally I don't read them beforehand anyway, sometimes afterwards to check if did everything right, if the device is not intuitive for me I probably won't learn how to use it properly, even with a manual!

I guess I fall into the non-consistent environmentalist group
