Had 2 Marwells, one Les Paul and one Western and they were worse than HBs. The fretwork were poor, the guitar felt bad. but maybe the Quality increased. Im pretty sure its the same as with Thomann...someone got money and orders guitars in China. its possible that Marwell guitars were build in the same factory than Harley Bentons. The specs are not so much different. Wilkinson Hardware,veneers...HB had neck-throughs as well. But i have to say the Les paul i had had not even a veneer, it was a Photo on top of the wood of the guitar. A Photo of wood to look like wood....oh man that was (puke) but that was..let me think..in 2006..and maybe the quality increased. i prefer HB (yes)

Thank you for the round-up, I was already on the way to buy an acoustic! This LP looks like an old East German "Musima", cheap and ugly.
