My ST-70 Paisley like your TE had no shielding paint nor any paint at all, just plain wood. Mine was routed badly, even some dodgy hand chisel work The worst Harley Benton I had so far and I had a few! At least the Paisley is real cloth/mesh rather than Photo on a 3mm thick MDF!

Yeah I read your thread. Sounds like you got a lemon... Hand chiseling is never good on an instrument that isn't really "hand-made" to begin with... In fact, after reading some of the other threads, I'm starting to feel like maybe I actually got a good one! HA! I'll be curious to hear how your JA-60 looks
