...unless they sign these in batches and tie them to everything. I notice they didn't fill in the part/serial number

Well, at least they aren't Thomann's "Qualitätskontrolle" card Number 376 (which isn't even a signature), of which, I had two in one carton, the last time and the guitar ended up as B-stock.
My Gibson QC card had one signature, and he just ran a squiggly line through all the boxes he was meant to tick.
Fender, regardless of a serial number not being on the card, is the winner, thus far, in my experience.

Actually, the 376 guy usually produces good guitars, Cory Mura and I have experienced You wouldn't expect that on a Gibson, huh? I'm glad all is fine and well with your Fender!

That. Want! Question though...do you still have the reverse wound reverse polarity thing going on and, if so, was that just lucky or were you able to specify what you needed?

Most of the time on strats the middle pickup is reverse wound with reverse polarity, so my first try with a middle pup i had laying around was perfect. This trial & error pickguard with too many holes in it I use for testing stays on for now (looks & sounds perfect to me)
