Banana do you own those two guitars you always keep suggesting? CST-24T? Yes. I honestly can't see how one can improve that guitar - - Versatile. People say that guitar with 3 single coils is more versatile than guitar with 2 humbuckers and coil split, which I disagree with. They are equally versatile - single coils can't go as fat as humbuckers, humbuckers can't go as high as single coils (fixed), unless you get Fishman Fluences;
- plays great (neck profile is the boss), body itself is great, balanced and has good ergonomics, bridge is great as well - thick solid steel block, extremely comfortable saddles (every non locking trem bridge should have those saddles, no question asked);
- almost perfect fret access - I have rather short-ish fingers and I only have difficulties when trying to 6th string at 24th fret with my pinky, which is not a problem for other fingers;
- killer looks - I understand that flame maple may not be for everyone, but that's why there are models with different emphasis on flame - Black Cherry and Paradise Flame with stained, pronounced flame and Emerald Green, Ocean Flame with non stained, less pronounced flame.
Some people may not like the sound of it, but it's mostly LP players, who like their guitars sound pretty thick. And it's not only these two guitars I always suggest - I also tend to suggest SC Custom and 7 string baritone, tho I do not have them as of the moment

I can't stand the sound of split humbuckers. Love pure hum-full single coils. After seeing your 5 favorite guitarists I now understand why you prefer Humbucker guitars. Certain genres need humbuckers. Not everyone plays such genres. I love my new ST62MN Black! Very well build guitar and plays like a Rock Star

Defjef I find that if the single cool bridge pup has a tone knob it sounds very good for lead. No need for a Humbucker imo. Just turn down the tone knob to cut that treble overload and it sings beautifully.
I don't think I will ever go for humbuckers again. Maybe filtertrons because I never tried them but I think P90s and single coils (both vintage voiced) are suited best for what I play.

Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

If only Leo had known, he'd have put that jumper wire on the switch in the first place to give us tone control on the bridge. SOME of my strats have one but I never remember which ones. I actually seem to prefer blending bridge with a bit of neck for a similar top end roll off. Or else turn down the vol a bit for treble loss.
