So this 'quote and reply to' thing is going haywire. Anyway, yes. Any old damp cloth will do. And don't be taking too long to plug the thing in. Guitars are like horses. As soon as you get one you need to give them a good whippin to show them who is boss. That's very true.

Hey, how about that, it worked. The nut picture is the worst, it doesn't look that bad in the flesh. Still all in all a very attractive guitar for £90. For those interested in such things, it weighs 8lb 3oz and the body is 43mm thick.

You mentioned earlier that the neck pocket was not 100%. Looks okay at the angle shown on the photo. Care to elaborate on that or were you perhaps just being a little overly fussy? When we are determined to find faults there is often something. And have you had time to plug it in yet? Plays well, makes a noise? Looks to me like you got lucky so far

Nice guitar!I've also ordered one TE-30.It will arrive tomorrow.I can't wait it! In the weekend i will write a little review about it. Your guitar is seems to me right. It's a cheap one, so for the price is surprisingly well looking instrument.

Yes we have Tapatalk. It's not the most intuitive thing I've ever used but it worked, eventually.

I'm afraid I can't guide you there, I have never used it. I didn't even realize it was activated for the forum (I just use the mobile browser version).

Well I just played it plugged in to a cheap Epiphone practice amp. All the switch positions work, volume and tone knobs make some but not a huge difference up and down. I compared it directly to my SX STL50 Tele and find the SX to be quite a bit brighter, louder and stronger. So at the moment, the SX sounds quite a bit better to me. Do I regret buying the TE30? Well maybe but only slightly as it was cheap and if I do decide to sell it on, I daresay I'll not lose much money overall.

You know, sometimes the sweetest sounding pickups are not the loudest. Try cranking the amp up a bit to match the volume that you get with your SX guitar.
