I decided to buy the most powerful HB bass combo there is at the moment. 300 watts. Before that I used a 30W Hartke amplifier, so I don't have anything similar to compare with. But this Harley Benton combo is awesome. It was delivered yesterday and I have played it only at home so far. If I cranked up the gain just a little bit, things literally started rolling off shelves. Very cool. No way you can get anything better in this price range. www.thomann.de/intl/ee/harley_benton_hb_300b.htm

Congrats on the new amp!
Having played through a few HB combos and cabs, they are definitely worth their price.

I need some help with my HB-300B amp. There's something wrong with it. When I turn it on there's a loud sound/noise coming out of it. Doesn't matter if I have my bass plugged in or not. There's not coming any sound from the bass either, just a constant sound. Anyone know what's wrong with it and how to fix it? Would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

It could be the power supply, or many other things.
You say that it does it even with no bass plugged in and that the bass is not making any sound when plugged in.
Is this with no cables plugged in at all (except power)?
Does flipping the horn switch make any difference?
To be honest, if it makes the noise with absolutely nothing plugged into it, then I suggest you contact Thomann and let them know, the amp is still very new and shouldn't be giving you any issues, they will guide you as to how to fix the issue.
Good luck and let us know the outcome.

It is actively cooled.
