OK, time for questions How does that instrument take FX pedals? Did you try it on any pedals? It must be cool to try it on a Wah Wah Im sure this mandoline could give some interesting FX sounds. What about trying the sitar pedal you have? If you do please make a short sound sample when you have time of course

When I've got time I will try a few different FX tones with it.

I've still not got around to trying different effects with this mandolin (angel)
I've been asked by a few people what does it sound like strummed! Is it as resonant as a standard type mandolin with "F" holes! well the answer is I don't know! having never played mandolins before. this tele mandolin rings out very nice indeed but I should think it's not as loud as a hollow mandolin with "F" holes. I used a clean tone using line 6 guitar port recorded into reaper.
I did a quick strum through of a 1971 tune "when I'm dead & gone" by McGuiness Flint.

Thank you Che, JAC I was listening to some of my old records & just had to try some mandolin with this early 1970's McGuinness Flint song "when I'm dead & gone" JAC I'm getting a little more used to it now having been playing around with it for a week now.

I had to put a wall neck bracket up for my little mandolin, it wouldn't fit in the guitar rack
It's at arms reach now whenever I want to use it. (idea)

Nice. I do have to say though, you have your mixer in a very strange place

Nice. I do have to say though, you have your mixer in a very strange place Yeah It's handy there for me as I don't own an Amp so I run my pedals through it into the PC sound system.

Hi!
Mine arrived yesterday, another "B stock" and I can't find a blemish.
Haven't spent much time on it but one thing I noticed is that the E string is a lot quieter than the others. Any tips to balance the volume between them?

Any tips to balance the volume between them? You could try lifting the pickup a little at the e string side. And BTW, a photo is worth a thousand words

I'm trying to stay away from Mandolins until I master the guitar first but boy would I like to play one! Congrats on yours!
