Ok. Just Up the Mids to Max on amp and Bass and Treble to ZERO and that tone is very nice indeed even with my Lunar Drive engaged! Presence at 4.

Ok. Final EQing gives me this: Bass - 3 Mids - Full On , Maximum!!! Treble - 6 Presence - 4
Sounds good in the room and I get a much beefier tone

Eminence is responding to the EQ much better I find without sounding bad. I could not crank Mids with Bugera speaker without it going all nasal and honky which I dislike. The Emi is still "hard" as its brand new and Im really looking forward to get it loosen up as that break up will be something nice indeed.
I dislike the Boost on the amp and the Drive channel still sounds very chunky and nothign I can see myself using. I will drive the clean channel with my OD pedal and maybe a TC Booster as its not that expensive.
Now that I have this speaker I can start looking at pedals again ... (sub'n'up ... DOD Fuzz ... TC Booster ... TC Ditto ... )

Found a much nicer EQ solution for higher volume (sounds great low volume too) Bass - 3 Mids - 6 Treble - 3 Presence - 3 Keeping Master as at max 3 and driving the volume with Clean Volume instead (Master seems to adding muddyness and Clean volume adds more clarity). I decided to lower the Mids as they can remove Bass so to be able to add some low end roundness I lowered the Mids to give Bass some space. This is my EQ for me Strat but I think me tele with like it too ... off to test it now ...

Ok, this interesting; My TE Ironstone are hotter than ST pups and I know they are more even in EQ that the strat ones. For tele my EQ (Emi speaker);
Bass - 4 Mids - 5 Treble - 4 Presence - 5
but this also sounds nice;
Bass - 1 Mids - Maximum Treble - 0 Presence - 0
Those Mids are interesting all right!

I have noticed that the tone gets muddier with more Mids when Im at the side of the amp!!! This was not the case when I had Mids at 2 , Bass 3 and Trble 4! Maybe Mids good for one thing but they might be behind the muddiness?!

Just discovered somthing by accident! ... I forgot to switch off the Reverb on the amp and it was at about 4. Then I engaged my Fender Marine Layer Reverb and it just sounded rounder, bigger, more mature, dunno, just more organic. Try and engage some reverb on your Boss multi FX and keep the Bugera reverb on as well and see if you like what you get! More body to it, very cool.

Celestion's advice is to break in the speaker by cranking the Bass and Mids and the Master volume, Treble at half and then set the volume with the clean channel volume. Play clean chords for an hour. Did that into a looper and i can't hear this speaker gettign softer They do say more decibels means harder to break in and this speaker is around 101db. I find this speaker to be most dynamic when I dial in the amp's "sweet spot" using the "wah-wah" method. This gives me Bass at 3, Mids at 2,5 and Treble at about 5. Sure does not sounds fat but notes have more dynamics and overtone. I always get the thought "this speaker is made for live performances" as it punches air and is more articulate than me stock Bugera speaker. But Bugera speaker is much more softer, 11 years old speaker and 3 owners I guess it will take some time until this JS-1250 breaks in. BTW, I've heard Morgan amp designer stating in an interview this JS-1250 being a 65 Watts speaker! Josh Smith did state in his demo that this speaker is "conservatively rated 50 watts but it can handle more". Wonder if this speaker sounds best with 6v6 amps (Josh's Morgan JS12 amp)?
