Hi everyone,
In a previous thread I asked a question about pickups. I have seen a pair of roswell pickups on the music store website. The name of the pickup is Roswell Pickups LVS Alnico II Humbucker. Has anyone tried these pickups before. I can't find any video or soundclips of the pickups online.
Thanks.

Roswell makes these pickups for OEM's and guitar companies. But it looks like they sell them in some online stores too. Specs look great for Vintage PAF's. 8K range with Aknico II's. Infact, they should be putting these on the SC-450 or any 'Vintage' sounding guitar. I have never tried one but also curious to find out how they sound.

Discussing how things sound is mostly a waste of time. Beyond the basics of dull and clear, everyone makes up their own language and leaves everyone else with a terrible approximation of what they mean. You need to hear pick-ups.

^ True that. Totally agree. The problem with pickups is, unlike guitars, you can't really take them back to the store for exchange or refund once you have soldered them on. So there really is no 'try out' with pickups. Its buy, try and if you don't like it, tough luck. I think that's why many scramble for reviews and specs.

Not true. Some companies will refund or if not a refund offer exchange for different pickups if they do not meet your expectations. Usually provided that the leads have not been cut. If the pickups are defective then this is a different story.

Returns or not either way buying pickups can be an expensive game of try and try again. And not everyone feels comfortable returning stuff.
