Yep, that's the famous 'mint green' that is really sort of correct. I've never really liked the plastics on a Les Paul. The tuner buttons and piece of single ply Caramac scratchplate always seemed cheaply at odds with the original Gibson aesthetic of carved tops, figured woods, MOP inlays and fancy bindery. It does bother me somewhat. It was one of the reasons I first got an SC-Custom which had none of this discrepancy (and a rib cage cutaway). It can all be removed or replaced, though, so let's see how I fare with this one. I thought or replacing the knobs on my Strat's too but there's still that huge pickguard, so it doesn't really makes sense. I end up being happier with my black and white Octocaster…

It looks as though you got peckish in pic 2 LeoThunder . I don't hold out much hope for the white chocolate button under the switch next snack time. And thanks for the file pics. At least the edge doesn't look as rough as in the pics I saw online. Clearly not. I wouldn't file my nails with it.

More nitpicking. The tail piece is arched. The saddles on the bridge are too, although clearly less. Maybe they fit the arching of the nut. I wish I could check that. And then, there is a very flat 350 mm (13,75") fingerboard radius. I doubt all these fit together. In any case, the tail piece brings both E strings to rest on the back of the bridge for going at a steeper angle due to the difference in arching. I can raise it but then the middle strings will have a flatter angle. I don't think I should care about any of this but I suspect some people make Ph.D's about finding the proper angles and how it all affects the Holy Tone. I guess this is where people find objective arguments against Harley Benton in particular and cheap guitars in general. There is no care for these things in the low price segment, parts are selected for their availability and price even if they're not the ideal fit. Then there are guitars which combine a Tune-o-matic bridge with a non adjustable string through construction and I wonder if it really makes any sort of difference, or if contact with the edge of the bridge is even better to isolate the chiming of whatever vibrates beyond the saddles.
