I sold my Line6 Spider and bought this Bugera BC15. I read reviews watched youtube vidoes, I know some on here think they are crap. But I wanted an amp with a reasonable clean channel and to be honest wasn't too worried about the overdrive channel as I would use an OD pedal through clean to get a bit of grit. However I was surprised that the OD on the amp is quite good. After playing around for a few day with just the amp controls I can find several nice tones. I have yet to try pedals through it but will in the coming weeks.
I bought this as an amp I can use for practice and that I can take to mates houses for our little jams. I wanted a reasonable sounding portable amp with a tube type 50's - 60's sound or thereabouts.
Pros: Tube pre amp 12AX7 Vintage cream and brown finnish Sturdy build (around 6.5kgs) 15 watts 8" speaker
Cons: Only Gain, Bass, Treble and Volume. It has a Shift button which alters the mids (i believe) but it is on or off. 8" speaker No effects loop No external speaker extension
This amp is not for your professional artiste or tube only man. It is a good little amp for practice/jams and sounds reasonably good at low to mid volumes. So far I'm happy it meets my needs and it is certainly a nice looking amp. I have not pushed it yet but it's louder than I anticipated. I paid £90 + £5p&p from amazon so not expensive for a tube type sound. I have put 8" speaker in both pros and cons as some like em and some don't. All in all its a keeper for me, will just have to see how it holds up to being carted about. Will report any issues regarding use with pedals.

Those preamp tubes will give you some fine creamy tone mate! You will enjoy this one a lot I can tell! Once you get used to it see how to cram into it a 10" speaker My Bugera V5 had an 8" and sure it was fine but once I went over to a 12" amp there was a WORLD of difference. 8" lacks lows big time. But as said give it a good run before you consider modding anything.

No lows could be a really useful thing in a mix unless you're planning on having no bass or keyboards or even drums.
Meanwhile I can't find anywhere to try a Bugera locally. I'd like to take in my Fender Champ 25SE and play them side by side. Failing that I wonder what else is very V22ish that might be stocked locally? Some Fender beast?

On the danish 2nd hand market Bugera is the most affordable option (when you lucky to get one close by). Next would be Laney Cub's. Then we go up into Fender Hot Rod but trully those amps were use for gigging so you have NO CLUE what you are getting and they are still rather expensive even if 2nd hand 450-500 Euro! The Peavey Valve King is cheap, in the Bugera price range. Why is that I wonder?

I'll see if anyone stocks those things locally to try against the Fender Champ for my preferred sounds.
