To be honest I am starting to have huge respect for CKK Electronic pedals as they really sound great for the money and seem very well built too, no noise or glitches of any kind. Boss is likely done for me after sharing your experience. Zoom and other multi effects also. VOX VT20+ is a gonner and all similar digital-gadgetry-amps too after testing the Katana 50 and Roland CUBE 60 and 80. Laney CUB sounds lovely, shame that Tone Knob introduces noise really shame. For live this aint an issue but I intended to use it for recording. That said I would not give up on Laney amps just yet as I haven't tested other of their models.

I think the problem is in folks designing these amps not being musicians. And those who execute them in the factory far east dont give a flying rats ars as long they get paid! Win-Win really

Leo Fender was famously not a musician but he seemed to scrape by. Thats a good point! So what is it then? Maybe they deliberately added that noise to make it sound more analogy

Those amps are made for the Kerrang and Scuzz markets - that's where the money is. No money to be made trying to sell a great sounding clean platform to teenagers.
