There was a Blue light version with the Bugera Golden speaker based on vintage Jensen speakers (flobby low end, not tight) the one I have. Not a nice Reverb.
Then there was the version with Orange Light and had the Bugera Red speaker. Not sure if the Reverb was better on these.
Then there was the Infinium with the Red Turbosound (which sounded too muddy) so they upgraded that one with the Turbosound Blue speaker. Very nice sounding digital Room-Hall Reverb.
There could be also changes from TAD tubes on the blue light version to Bugera tubes on the Infinium (likely made in the factory building TAD tubes)
I have nothing against the Infinium technology. Nothing bad with tubes being re-biased automatically during their lifespan. Some folks maybe need that kind of "dying tubes" break up but not me, so this doesn't interest me. I need clean amp that will not die on me that easy. I remember a review written by a guy that bought the V22 Infinium because his Deluxe Reverb was being fixed and how he said that his Fender amp went twice to the technician while this V22 was holding up nicely on his gigs in the meanwhile.
Self-biasing will help keep the amp in good condition and even help reduce noise that could come out of older tubes still running with the original bais (assuming here of course).
Nothing can beat Bugera V series for the price-quality! And look what you get with it! FX Loop, 2 x speaker out with 4, 8 or 16 Ohm switch, Triode or Pentode switch.
Reverbm Presence, 3 EQ, Gain ch, Clean ch., Bright and Normal Inputs! I think it even has Phones out which can be used for Line out but not sounding as good as a miced amp, so ...
AND you get a bombastic vintage vibe looking amplifier
