I have mainly used 0.88-1.14mm picks since forever but recently been using a 0.5 sometimes, you can get an interesting bitey sound if you flex it while you’re picking, it also makes strumming so much easier.
I wouldn’t say I’m fully converted but I’m more open minded to trying other picks out.
Anyone else have views on picks?

Yes, the same as yours, except that I have been mostly using 0.71. I find, however, that thinner picks produce a distinctly sharper sound and I often use a 0.46 with my SC-450 to compensate for the dull pick-ups. It produces better results than any lowering of the pick-ups or tweaking of the EQ. If that feels too flexible, I find 0.58 to be a very good alternative for the same purpose. These are probably better for strumming, by the way. It seems I have more control with them.
I have thicker picks too: 0.96, 1.2 and even 1.5. I don't like any of them.

Perhaps sharper is the adjective I was looking for, I find that particularly on upstrokes it's a lot more jangly. Must be something else I do differently on an upstroke.
I can get a louder, more sustaining attack with a thicker pick and prefer them for "Lead" playing but for general playing I prefer the thinner picks now.
