Wow, those last two pics are the first time I've ever seen a billet green actually look green. So it may actually be green!

You've gone for it? Excellent. I heard one played by a band on Jools Holland's music TV show and it had a really cool sound. Hope it's the sort of thing you like. I remember when these Revstars first came out and so wanted that one in particular. I was disappointed when I saw the price though! That price you mentioned seems a pretty good saving off the original retail. Plus you've bought something a bit off the usual track. Nice one ttmax.

I think you were right to avoid those matt finished ones. Even reviews that liked the sound and build quality of them hated the way the dull finish picked up every finger mark and seemed to stay there. I guess eventually they all join up into a semi gloss finish. Maybe that would look ok in the end!

The weirdest thing about these guitars is that Yamaha go on about how they are inspired by the 'cafe racer motorcyles'. I remember, when I first read that, I just thought, "I have no idea what you are talking about". So I just went to take a look at some cafe racer motorcyles and I still have no idea what they are talking about! I don't see any particular reference to them at all. I mostly see 1920's art deco aeroplanes in that RS502T Revstar's tailpiece.

I hope so, the guy who sold it says he didn't like it, bought in December played a couple of times. Probably today I'll know if he told the truth, fingers crossed.π€π¬ I don't know how web picture is totally unreal for some revstar model (billet or bowden green for example) Of course live colours are different but with those yamaha are totally another thing π I know exactly what you mean. When I decided to do my LP Jr respray I got inspired to do it in what I thought was 'Bowden Green'. When I couldn't find the exact colour I went for a Ford 'Reed Green' and felt a bit disappointed. Having seen your various pics of the guitar it seems that I may be closer to some of them after all. If it's of any help to you, the one I saw being played on Jools Holland looked something like pics 2 or 3.
