I am trying to resist a HBZ-2005 for some 150€. I don't need another bass. My B-5000 looks better. And I have no room for it.

It's not GAS at this point, though. This is not about acquiring some new toy, or tool that promises something more or new. It's just about not missing on a bargain, like getting twice the shampoo when you find it on sale because you know you'll use it anyway. And seriously, when my B-5000 wears out, I might be happy to have an HBZ-2005 waiting, wouldn't I? No?

As I shave my head I have no need of bargain shampoo LeoThunder. But I do understand what your saying, because I can't miss a bargain I have ended up with enough pots, caps, nuts, wire, string trees etc etc for 30 or 40 guitars I'll probably never use them all but they were all bloody good bargains!

The real GAS is when I see something I feel like having, just because I like it. This one, for example, which sold for more than I cared to pay:

I pounce, telling myself that, heck at that price I could sell the strap and case for more and a have a free guitar...yet I don't need that free guitar. Plus, I have never been known to sell anything that I acquire so the whole spending defence collapses. What a loser.

As long as guitars are made of wood, we can burn them. Effect pedals… not so much.

All right, all right, staying in the spirit of the thread, the only way to stop wanting things is by stopping to look at things. Here's what I'm looking at, because it's not a real Telecaster, because it looks funny, has P90s, a Bigsby and a good looking finish:

10.5€ I think it will go up, though… Or maybe not, there are missing screws and string trees Decent body shape too: I'm not too sure about the BigBridge, but that's part of the fun.

I'd take a punt up to around €50 the bigsby is probably worth that alone LeoThunder. The pickguard screws are pennies, if it's the project base for you to complete it's not bad.

The missing screws seem such a non-issue I wonder why they are not there. My guess is that holes need to be drilled for them first. The guitar is said to be made of the neck of an old Squier and a "solid body" of unspecified origin. That body was probably not made for that pickguard. The P90s are "Duncan Designed", probably from some Squier too?
This will go higher than 50€. I'll have a few days to decide how much I'd want to spend on such a Frankenstein creation.

I would go for that if I were allowed any more guitars.

Oh, there has been a Squier Telecaster Custom II with "Duncan Designed" P90s. I think that's another piece of the puzzle. The body was replaced because the original had no cutaway on the back and such a nice wood would have been a waste underneath a solid colour. So in short, a neck, a body and a Tune-o-matic bridge not meant for each other were bolted together. The bridge looks like it's all the way down already. This is a complete gamble

It's always a gamble, maybe the neck angle is a little off. You could sort that with a tapered shim or a slight shave on the heel of the neck. Obviously until you get it in your hands you can only guess and as we have said how much of a project do you want? I take it it's Germany?
