Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

I'm looking for a low priced delay pedal with ducking feature. Some stuff I want to play can get cluttered with too much audible delay in the mix and get even worse if there is any key modulation or quick chord changes, yet I want to hear some delay in the gaps. Ducking is the answer. The effect being suppressed or accentuated where needed. I do use the expression pedal on my Boss ME70 to mix the delay in and out and really like the effect. Maybe I should just stick with doing that. But I would be interested to try a pedal that was doing it for me. Ducking is most usually associated with volume and is basically a sort of side chained noise gate, only allowing the delay through when the input signal drops, but it can be even more interesting than that. It can be used to only delay toppier notes or bassier ones using the tone control if the pedal has one (these two don't), or it can be set to speed up the delays or slow them down as the input signal drops. All very creative/maddening. Has anyone tried these two pedals for their ducking feature/s? Anything I should know about them? Nice? Hideous? Gimmicky? Essential? Some of the features on the Flashback seem very interesting. Perhaps there's another even more delicious pedal that isn't crazy priced?

I haven't tried either of them but I have read good things about the flashback.
Whether it will do what you are looking for is a different story.
The only ducking I have used has been volume related for talk over etc.
