I did it again. I bought a bass amplifier. I didn't even want it. It sort of happened. I got a Rumble 25 for 50€ shipped (135€ new from Thomann). That's 37%. It's a joke, isn't it? I wonder if it's going to sound any different from my Bassman model on the Mustang I. It's the same speaker so I never thought it would be needed or make any sense. I guess I'll know soon enough. People on TalkBass said it sounds "like a bass amp", whatever that means and which a guitar amp doesn't. I'm curious.

Yes, I tried it with both. It now sits permanently next to the Fender Mustang and won't move. There is an obvious difference in sound compared to the Bassman model, even at low volume, which makes it a valuable purchase. I feared the difference would be either minimal, the speaker being the same 8" or noticeable only at volumes I would never use. It is not the case, so I am satisfied.
I won't use it with guitars, however. It sounds funny with them.
