is there nobody here with a new HB acoustic? the whole site seems to be for the electric players 😣 It looks like the new version acoustics are not yet available, or are you asking about anyone with a new acoustic? I quite fancy one of their Gypsy guitars, (Harley Benton Gypsy JMD200). It's in stock in a couple of weeks. I'm not a Gypsy jazz player but wanted to learn and it looks good value. There are no sound clips yet but I might take a chance on it. If I do I'll let you know. BTW, there are quite a few acoustic players on this site.

I bought about 2 months ago a CLA-16S. It's a good guitar for the price. At first glance, it seems a cheap guitar, but playing it, it sounds surprisingly good. The intonation is excellent but the action is a bit too high for my taste. However the main problem I found concerns the nut width, too narrow for me (42.6 mm). Recently I had the unexpected opportunity to buy an Eastman OM style, imho an exceptional guitar, so I'm selling the CLA-16S, which, I repeat, remains more than a good guitar for the price.

That looks and sounds great gaelforce. Looks like an expensive Taylor. How's the pickup sound?

I've been gigging this CLD 15 M for a while now,so its not new,but after a few mods( open back schaller tuners,a set of martin modal retro strings, and a bit of tinkering with the saddle and nut,its become a new guitar and i tend to play it more often than my gibbo's or martins. She's a beast.

excession that's a lovely looking guitar. I've been thinking about getting a mahogany guitar for a while. Do you have a drop in pickup or did you have one installed?

Hello Dodger, yup, she's a looker alright.she came without a pickup but i had a fishmann natural 1 that i took out of another guitar and fitted that in.it is active but has no EQ so it has to be EQ'd externally (fishmann platinum stage) and it sounds pretty good (for a piezo). acoustically she sounds fantastic.

Very nice excession. I have no problems with piezo pickups - the fishman ones in HBs and other guitars sound OK and natural enough through a mixer and speakers in a small bar (but not so good in a bigger live situation - luckily I play small bars more).

Thank you gaelforce for the review, it was very appetizing. I'm seriously considering for the purchase. But what about the neck scale, is it the same as on the dreadnoughts or little bit shorter like on CLD-28 for example, which is the same size as CLG-650. I mean esp. the fret width, the scale it shorter-the frets are shorter, playability changes little bit. Happy NGD!
