I have none at all and wouldn't touch them because I never saw anyone say anything about them. If they were that good, people would talk the same way they did about Harley Benton.
I would be worried about cheap Harley Benton too because I heard dull pick-ups on them (on the ST-20, ST kit, PJ-4…).
In adddition, that ebay seller shortens warranty to 1 year and states that buyers pay return costs.

Best to stick with Thomann, can't go wrong with the 3 year warranty, especially if you are in the EU. At least HB have a fairly good rep going for them.

Same conditions. Not sure about the brand name, though…

The whole warranty thing is overrated. I put a new nut on the JB-20, new knobs, new pick guard, put new brass saddles on and reshaped the headstock. Everything works. Warranty? Probably void after all my mods. I've never used warranty on a guitar. I can tell immediately if it's a keeper or not, so for me the return policy is more important. For the price I might actually try the sunburst model. What can happen? If it's crap I'll send it back. If I do buy it, I'll post about it.

You're right about the warranty. All that can really happen is that the wood is so cheap it hasn't been dried enough and warps in the course of a year. A counter-measure to that is to use ridiculously thick necks, which is what we see on Glarry guitars. The other risk is that of a soldering joint going bad. It's a trivial issue unless it happens inside a pick-up, still many people approach this with the same respect as voodoo magic. Pick-ups are very much a matter of taste but I hear a clear difference between the sound samples of the PJ-4 and the PJ-74 on the Thomann site. I would go with Roswell any time for the added highs (I do not replace pick-ups). If you feel adventurous, please get one of these 55€ Vision Strat's (shipped) and tell us all about them I like the green and black model. If it's good I'll buy one. If not you'll have to burn it in winter and hope not to die from the fumes.

I have the JB-20 bass and the pickups are probably cheap ceramic ones, but they sure do sound good. Ceramic is not the problem. Cheap usually is. Cheaper wire will come with a higher resistance (lesser metal) and capacitance (weaker isolation), which will both work towards limiting the frequency response on the high side. Stronger ceramic magnets will help compensate that and further reduce cost by reducing the amount of wire required for the same output level. Ceramic is fine. AlNiCo is only an icon for vintage lovers.

I've seen Dimavery along with Fazley guitars on the Bax website freeman but it is hard to find decent reviews of either brand. I would be interested in a couple of guitars by both these brands. Some have headstocks that look exactly like HB's, I wonder if they are made by the same far east manufacturer's as HB? I'm with you on the warranty but you have to be careful even inspecting guitar. The 30 days return is void if you take bits apart or attempt minor repairs. But as you said you know if it's a keeper or not as soon as its out of the box. If you do purchase a Dimavery I would be interested to hear your thoughts on it. Good luck if you do.
