I would say: contact politely their service and negociate what can be done.
You have a picture of the dent?

I agree with thunderbird. Depending on how deep and what type of dent it is (broken wood fibres or not?) you can get it out using a damp cloth and an iron. This would however mess up the finish so then you got a finish repair to sort out. I would only suggest the dent removal if you are confident and have experience of doing this.

If your not happy send it back, personally I wouldn't want a new guitar with a relatively big ding in it.
That's a real bummer its got damaged, only you know what you want to do. Good luck whatever you decide.

Returning it can be very expensive (unless you live in Europe). If the dent bothers you, return it. If it plays well and you can live with it, forget about the dent (It's on the back).

the steam iron thing only works for minor dents and does nothing for paint Just to clear things up regarding steaming out dents. The finish/paint has to be removed. You need to dampen the bare wood to be able to steam it. You can steam quite deep dents out but as I said in the previous post steaming won't work if the wood fibres are broken/cut.
